UPC DVR - my recordings won't play only black screen

    Have several shows on series record, went to watch one tonight and when I clicked play on the episode the screen went black, and then went back to the TV channel I had been watching. Tried it on some recordings of films etc that I had watched so was certain had been there and the same thing happens.

    Anyone else have similar problems? Any idea how to sort it?

    I had the exact same thing. I had to reboot the machine every time to be able to see them. In the end I rang them up and yer man told me to unplug it while he did some maintenance or something and that sorted it for the most part. It has happened once again since but beforehand it was every day nearly so I'd get onto them and get them to do whatever he did with mine.
