Lately there's been a wee bit of a smell coming from the water disposal tray in our Bosch dishwaster.

I've taken the tray out, cleaned out the filters with a toothbrush, but still the smell comes back.

Should I try and put down some bleach? Try salt?

    Any suggestions welcome! Thanks.

    Vinegar!!!
Throw a good amount(maybe a pint or so) in to the bottom of the dishwasher and run it on a hot wash (empty of course)
Works a treat. Do it once a month. You can buy a gallon of vinegar in any Asian supermarket for about a fiver and it will last a year.

Thanks for that! Would you recommend brown or white vinegar?

I usually use vinegar and baking powder when I want to use an eco-friendly way of unblocking sinks, drains, etc.

I use white and it works so Id stick with that. :)

If it doesnt work there might be a drain problem? But give it a go and let us know how you get on.
