Does anyone know if you are automatically eligible for €69.90 accomodation allowance when you start a fas course or is there a criteria you have to meet?
For instance if I am living in cork atm and do a course in Waterford would I definitely get it?
Or if I was doing a course in Cork and needed to move closer to the training center would I need to be a certain distance away or anything?
Also, how is it paid? I assume straight to the landlord?
When I registered with fas last week they weren't able to answer any of these questions

Oh one more - Can you get it on a part time day course or only full time?

Ifyou have a cork address and moving to wateford to do a course you will get it. If you live in cork and want to move nearer the course you probably wont get but will get travel allowance

    Thanks!
The problem is I don't have a car atm and the nearest bus is 6km away and even at that would cost around €20 a day maybe more :/ So best option is going away to do one I suppose
