    Hi,

I'm looking at seven seaters at the moment and went to see a Renault Espace. I was impressed by the size and style of it but it had a lot of work done with the turbo Diesel and it kind of put me off it.

Does anyone have an Espace that would recommend one?

I have a Scenic now but have had a lot of niggly problems with it despite it being really comfortable to drive in...

Also, would you buy a car that has had a lot of work done to it or would it make you too suspicious about it?

    Cheers

I hate Renault yet love these motors. I'm a bit of an outdoorsy dude though so the space is fantastic for me. Don't own one though. What kind of work has she had done ?

It's a '05 with 70K on it. Looking at the receipts the 'dealer' was showing me, it has had the turbo diesel replaced on it twice I think. My gut tells me it will be trouble if I get it.
It's the best part of 8K so it would kill me to tax it and then have to do any sort of repairs on it. A 5 speed gear box was incorrectly put in it before apparently despite it meant to have been a 6 speed!
I don't know, although I like the comfort of Renault, reading reviews about the Espace there seems to be a lot of problems that even the dealers can't fix with them.
Might just go for a Galaxy or Sharon...

I don't know much about Espaces but good Jesus stay away from that one, it sounds dreadful. I think they did a 2.0 petrol, might be worth the extra fuel cost not to have to worry about injector repairs, etc.
