    What did you do?

If they landed at my door I'd tell them to clear off.

Incredibly rude to arrive at someone's door and presume they have the time to stand there in the cold listening to carol tunes, then pay for the luxury of it.

Watch them until the last verse of a song then quickly shut the door and turn out all the lights.

Well i just went to get some change & as i searched the yelping got louder and louder.....!! There was a young lad and an older girl....too be honest they were a pair of minks so i just dropped a bit of change in the boxes and shut the door...

Bit of an extension of halloween i think, and not a good one...

You seem to be a soft touch.

Can I have some free money too?

I did this back in 6th class. The school did it every year for charity. It was mortifying. Every so often we'd get people at the door but very rarely.

Times like this I love living in an apartment :/
Love carolers on grafton street etc-adds a lovely Christmassy vibe to the streets but would hate it if they knocked on my door. Im either busy doing something that they'll be interupting or Im inside chilling out-thats MY time.

This thread was done before last week, why not just resuscitate that one.

If you want to get into it, you got to get out of it. (Hawkwind 1982)

It's nothing new. I just open the door and tell them they have the wrong house, I ordered a stripper not a singer. same reply as last week...

Oh god I can just imagine the awkardness of standing there having to listen to them. *cringes*

If they turn up at my door I'll say fair play for the effort they put into their Halloween costumes but they're 5 weeks late.:(

I got a small camera installed for my door just behind a flower basket. Anytime the doorbell rings i just flick onto a channel on my tv and i can see who it is. I never open the door to anyone unless i'm expecting someone. But i missed a few deliveries due to it so i went with the camera. The carolers can go sing if they expect an answer.

A group of 10-12 year olds called last weekend carolling, their parents were waiting at the end of the garden watching them.

Not sure if the parents were using the kids to collect money,or if they were just keeping an eye on them.

Gave them a few quid anyways!

I am not the listen to carols type, so its an F/O from me.
