Quick question for you guys. Just wondering what the consensus would be on the above choice.

Thinking of getting the mrs a tablet for Christmas and the ipad2 is an obvious choice but 16 gigs of storage really puts me off. My iphone is 32 and my 3gs was 32 and they were generally full, so something so media intensive as the ipad would be irksome I imagine with such a small capacity. - A couple of albums and some movies for the kids in the car, one or two games and the feckin thing would be full.

But I might have an option on a 2nd hand ipad 1 64 gig. Should be a good deal cos it's a member of my family and at least I know the provenance of the device.

But just taking price out of it for the moment. Which would you go for? The front facing camera would be nice, sure, but we have plenty of laptops for skype calling, and only do so occasionally. Is it too early yet to see an ipad one struggle to run newer apps/games fluidly?

Have a 64GB iPad 1, love it. Fully loaded with media at all times.

I wouldnt go for an iPad 2 at this point, V3 is at most, nine months away, I wouldn't consider an upgrade to the second one, but may consider V3.

I think the 16 gb is fine if you are pretty good at keeping it up to date.

I don't really use my ipad for music though. I usually watch tv shows on it. So I can put a season on and delete it when I am done and same for movies.
