Not sure if this is a common thing, but just pulled out the sky card to get my viewing card number & noticed that it was not only very hot, but also the chip seems to have scorched through to the other side of the card.

I phoned sky & they didn't see too concerned & just said they'd send another card, but seems more like a box issue to me ?

if its a sky box then it could be a card reader fault, some other box then it may be the clock speed the box is set to.
