    Hi there,

My kids Acer Aspire One (D260) has a damaged screen. It was picked up by the screen and thumb pressure on one side has damaged the display, so now only 2/3 of the screen is visible.

I see plenty of youtube videos on how to replace it yourself but I often find my fingers a bit on the large side for such tricky work.

Where would be the best place to get this fixed and what would be a reasonable price? Screen seems to retail around €50-€60 online from what I could find.

    Advice and guidance welcome. Thanks.

I had to replace the screen on one recently, picked it up for €30 (which was the entire top half, hinges, case, screen, camera). The replacement was really easy, nothing to worry about.

Try it yourself :) I've heard good things about ccity.ie aswell if you don't want to try do it.

Ok interesting, any chance of a bit more information i.e. where you got it, etc... Thanks !

I got it on ebay, there seem to be loads there for about €40.

Here is a video showing you how to do it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wuHL28VIDcU
