DOE/CVT on imported Van

    Hi

I have a question re the doe test on a van, would appreciate some help, if any of you have been in this situation.

The van in question is a peugot partner, imported, has Irish registration plates, but was never taxed and has not been on the road. So its sitting there, unused. I want to get it DOE'd for a potential new owner.

I have an RF100 which is to be used to tax the vehicle for the first time and to be filled out by the new owner - (the previous owner contacted Shannon for a replacement logbook, the RF100 was sent instead since it had never been taxed.)

    Questions:
Can I go and get the van DOE'd without taxing it?
I don't have a log book, is that issue'd when the RF100 is submitted?

Yes you can go get it doe,d but just be cafeful as it shouldn't be on the road without tax but I'm sure the guards would understand if u were just driving it from say your house to the doe centre n home again so it could be taxed.hope this helps
