    hey everyone,

I know part of my question has been answered in part in the FAQ section however it forms part of a bigger question so here goes:

On the 5th of December I transferred money from my bank account to pay-pal in order to purchase some stuff on e-bay, however the money has not yet been credited to my account and I'm wondering if I can still purchase on e-bay and pay via pay-pal when the money is credited?

any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Do you mean can you go ahead and pay for the item even though there is no money in your PayPal account and have PayPal take the money from your account when it goes into your account?

Or do you mean can you still buy the item, but pay when the money goes into your PayPal account?

If you want to pay before the money goes into your account and then have PayPal take the money from your PayPal account balance then you won't be able to. If there is no money in your PayPal account you won't be able to pay. Unless you add a credit card, visa debit card, 3v card or another prepaid card to PayPal and fund the purchase from that.

If you want to wait until the money is in your account then you could contact the seller and explain the situation and hope they understand.

In future though, I would make sure you have the money in PayPal before committing to buy anything on eBay to avoid the problems you are experiencing now.

Yo yo just contact the seller and ask before you buy would it be ok if you could pay in a couple of days as you are waiting on a bank transfer or something. Just ask nicely, wait for a reply and you should be good to go, yo.

It's possible, unless the seller requires immediate payment. It's a good idea to wait though, because sometimes money transfers can take a little longer, and sometimes they fail. If it doesn't go through at all, you won't be able to pay, and you'll just annoy the seller.

Contacting the seller up front isn't a bad idea if you want to put a hold on the item, if you think it might be sold to someone else by the time your money goes through.
