    this post is not looking for legal advice,it is looking to see what you think or what you would do.

    hi all,i would like to get opinions on this and see what you think and what i can do about it,firstly on a forum on the internet about model trains, i don't want to mention any names or anthing i just want to cut to the chase about what happened,ok this forum was in USA,i was a product tester for a company,i tested the product and gave feedback to the forum,ok as i am an honest fella i gave an honest review,but the staff were not too happy about this cause the product had faults and a lot!ok i have had a good relationship for a long time with the company and have had a number of reviews that were fine and all was well,but this one didn't go down so good and i had arguments with some users on this forum aswell as the admin and site owner, i got tired of the place and moved on,didn't log in there anymore,i didn't use my real name but my online alias (username) but of course all the users know me from this alias.

    time went by and i was with a new company doing little reviews and so on,one day i thought to check the old forum i was previously a member of (now saw BANNED up on my profile) which i thought funny,then my heart sank when i saw that the details of my profile were changed and my occupation changed to something very nasty,it was something so bad that i got enraged when i read it,it was something i don't want to menton to be honest,just say i will put it on the same level as something garry glitter would be accused of,he had changed it to.i couldn't believe it and thought to myself wow this person is very twisted and sick.

    i should have bought him up for slander,but he said his forum was hacked and nothing to do with him,B.S...

    i feel angry,as some people may have read this.

    do you think people would know they were messing with my profile or would people believe what was written??:rolleyes:


    it's sort of damaging really,he sinse removed my details,but before he did my location was up for all to see,not exact location but county and town etc...

    to put it short he is an EVIL mofoe who would want a good kicking


    what do you make of all this?

    just a tipp from me be very carefull of what info you post up online cause some twisted sick people around!!!

    i know it was just my username that was slandered but it still hurts and some people know who i am and may have seen the slander

    How strong was your password?

    If the owner of the board admits that the board was hacked then he has accepted that responsibility. If he has removed your details then unless you have deep pockets, I'd move on.

    Just as a secondary item - you mention that you are a product tester for a company. Is posting your reviews presumably based on your testing, compatible with what you are paid to do? It's kind of like insider trading!
