Temp fix for door seal?

My right side driver's door seal is torn near the lock and I need a temporary fix to do until February. Basically it's ripped open for about 6" but is still firmly attached to the frame. It hasn't let any water in but it does let in a bit of road noise on my side. I know I should just get a new seal but it'll be €70 delivered and I just don't have €70.

Any very cheap fixes? I'm thinking about using a black rubber swimming cap doubled over to seal it and fill up the space with silicon gasket sealant.

If the rubber is just torn but intact use some Tiger seal to stick it back together, Tiger seal is used to bond windows and as seam sealer.

If your "MacGyver" fix doesn't do the job, trip to your nearest scrapyard

might be worth ago and get a decent second hand one.

    It's not intact unfortunately.

I thought about that but the seals are glued in place, so getting them off the donor car without damage would be a friggin' miracle!

Ah when there glued on, just makes it so much more fun!

Gone are the days when the rubbers were pressed into place

    and just pealed away.

Not nice in this weather, stanley blade and lots of patience might

    do the trick.

A load of silicon gasket sealant and a black swim hat did the job in the end.
