Aside from the Goal race. Is there anything happening in Sligo on the race front this Xmas. I remember a santa dash but can find nothing on it.

    Thanks

The event has been organised by a few members of Sligo AC for the last couple of years - the usual crew.

Whats the route for this? I guess it goes out the strandhill road, hangs a left and comes back to the start. How right / wrong am i?

AFAIK - Race goes on to bypass road, turns left, then next left to finisklin, left at small roundabout then right around the back of the ind est. Back by sea road and finish in the strandhill road.

Yeah that makes sense. nice downhill to the finish Hardly any traffic that time of the day on a sunday. Makes for a good run, alot easier than the streets of sligo.

yes, maximum elevation 16m according to mapmyrun, ends with a downhill last 1km. Mapmyrun measures the loop a few hundered meters short so unless they don't start and end at the same spot the distance may not be exact, unless you know otherwise? You will be wearing the red santa suit won't you?
