In relation to the fuel allowance cuts, if people will indeed die due to cuts in the allowance, would it be asking too much for family members to help out, Im sure they will be first in line when it comes to the inheritance. In other coutnries, alot of the burden of repsonsibility falls on family members, not entirely the state!

On writing to ministers, as an experiment I tried 7 contact emails to various one. These were written in a polite manner, asking a relevant question. 1 replied - Dept. of Foreign affairs.

in many cases , pensioners are substantially better off than thier kids , despite all the poor mouth playing , its well known that many pensioners pay for a lot of thier grandkids luxurys , those that have grandkids , that is

even the fuel allowance was completley scrapped , pensioners could easily afford thier heating costs out of their cash benefits , the fuel allowance is nothing but political pork

my dad is german and just reached pensionable age, over there pension is based on what you pay in, he gets just over E90 per week and medical card (not sure medical card over there is blanket entitlement, Im sure its not). That would give people an incentive to get off their asses here. Here the difference between someone who could have contributed millions to the states coffers and nothing is what E10 per week? As with everything welfare related here, you have to blame the state and not those actually claiming what they have been made entitled to...
