What counties are favourites for the upcoming inter-counties in Castlebar, or name your top 4.

Many counties pull out of this comp this year?? Expensive weekend for lads this year, and in fairness, format is terrible!

martin conroy is some player. Imo one of the most under rated lads in ireland, and a top notch fella aswell. Clare were always tough to beat, if they got a sniff in any game there crowd got 110% behind them, i recall "Butcher" being the main man there for a while, a true county man

    Usual suspects.

Donegal, Wexford, Mayo, Dublin and Kerry.

Dublin if they got the best 15 players in the county would be unreal. Cork and Kilkenny also capable of fielding massive teams but alot just aren't interested.

Word has it Cork are strong this year.

Cork are very strong again if their big name players blend back in. limerick have lost the most player in ireland and won't be a force oconnor, finnan, murphy's, to name just a few . Clare are middle of the road , Tipp are stuck their 2, kerry were vastly improved but sean marshall walked out on them last week so that will be a big let down for them , waterford ammmmmm still playing darts I think .

It would be nice to think that the INDO might make some effort to have some live scores available to fans who can't make it to Castlebar that are interested in this? Surely it wouldn't be too much trouble to set up a facebook page even and post scores of games on it over the weekend?

it wouldn't. it'd be quite easy as they always have a guy sitting around on a laptop anyway. But they won't. Last seasons ranking aren't even updated.

Poor attempt by them. Surely time for somebody on the board in 2012 with bit of tec knowledge

yeah. As far as I know one of the players did the last website for them and did a good job but life comes first... they could do with paying someone professionally or even an amatuer who could do it all for a few quid. There have bein lots of blogs etc... but they really could do with someone whose actually paid to do it. As said even if they could find a facebook page to update it'd only take 10 minutes maximum top type in 20 results every 2 hours or so.

Anyone out there with results or scores please?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 945 ✭✭✭padr81

Too lazy to type all the scores but what i know so far is 2 of tomorrows quarter finals are Mayo v Cork and Dublin v Donegal. So far its the usual suspects who are doing the business.

Thanks padr81 for that info. Glad to see Cork back in the quarter finals after last year's disappointing performance. However they face a tough battle against Mayo in the quarter finals.
