Hey guys, been trudging through amazon.co.uk and other online sites for about a week now, thought I'd ask you guys for some advice :)

My budget's up to €85 (£75); I'm looking for 2.0 or 2.1 speakers for my desktop PC. It doesn't have to be loud, apartment building so i don't need booming bass at all - just be present, add to the music and not intrusive; i'm just looking for the best sound quality my money can afford. It's in my relatively small apartment living room, so it's non-tiled walls and a wood floor. So it'd be a focus on mids and highs rather than lows. I'll be primarily listening to music (mp3s) so that's what I'm most focused on.

I'm considering Creative's T20 (£52) the Edifier C2 (£72); and the Edifier E3300 (£63). How are the Hercules XPS's? Reviews vary wildly from awesome to really awful.

Is there much difference between the T20 and T40?

Thanks for the help guys :)
