    Hi Folks,

Just wondering what I could wear with this dress/how i could dress it up. Would I get away with black tights and black ankle boots with it? Could I wear black long boots? I'm useless with fashion so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :D

I personally wouldnt wear tights with a dress like this and I would probably wear it with a cream/nude/beige shoe as opposed to black. I would accessorise it with gold jewellery such as long dangly earrings and gold bracelets and a simple clutch bag as well.

If you do want to wear black tights, I would choose tights with a low denier such as 20 or 40, not thick ones! and maybe go for a black closed heel shoe instead of a an ankle boot as it would cut of your legs and make them look shorter!! Thats my opinion :)

Maybe wear leggings with it. No sock or tights obviously and shoes or high heeled sandals with it. Its very prostitute chic, and would be hard to consider classy.

Eh, that's not very nice.... :(

Anyway, OP I would actually wear it with thick black tights myself because it's very short, and I'd wear it with black heels- keep it simple.

Wear leggings with it? This is a definite DONT. And as for Prostitute chic? Your basically insulting every fashion designer who designed a dress like this, models who walked the catwalk in it, celebs and anyone who has worn this dress. The fashion police need to have a word with u!

    .
Yes, I have been detained for questioning.
    Its looking grim.

    Charges are :
    not being very nice.
    Suggesting leggings.
Not to mentioning calling it like it is and saying that dress is prostitute chic.

Maximum sentence if I am found guilty on all charges is being forced to wear that dress and in that colour on a night out. Without leggings.
I'm hoping for the reduced sentence of ugg boots and pajamas.

I think leggings would look really nice with it, if you want to go for a rock chick look wear leather or wet look ones!!

At the end of the day, try it a few different ways and see what you prefer- if you think you'd be self conscious with sheer/no tights then wear black tights if you'd be more comfortable- looking happy and confident in your clothes can be just as important as how you accessorise them!

In my opinion, 'sheer' tights would dress it up and black tights or leggings would dress it down. I really want to wear nice cosy thick black tights to my Christmas party at the weekend, but it makes my dress more 'casual summer dress' than 'party dress' if that makes sense. :)

Agree with Posy! If it was me and I was wearing that dress or similar to a party I would wear sheer black tights. and have fun with the accessories! :)
