Corsa windscreen wiper problems

    Hello all

I'm having problems with the windscreen wipers on a 2003 Opel Corsa where they don't seem to be stopping down at the bottom and can stop in all sorts of different places. They seem to run ok on normal speed and fast speed but just wont settle in correct position, it can be very annoying when on intermittent setting.

Iv'e read up on a couple of other forums that it could be the self park switch or problems with relays, another suggestion said it could be the wiper arms need replacing.

any suggestions or help on this would be much appreciated :)

Its usually the wiper motor itself, especially if the other speeds are working normally.

The circuit that controls the limits to park the wipers and operate them on the intermittent setting is built into the motor.

    Thanks.
So does that mean the full motor has to be replaced?
Is there any possibility its anything to do with the relays?

The wiper motor itself has to be replaced. It comes separably to the linkage on the corsa as far as I remember.
The wiper relay only controls the power to the motor, not the action of the motor itself.

Just an update: I got hold of a second hand corsa wiper motor today and replaced it with the old one.

That has now solved the job perfect! aparantley it is a common fault in Astra's and Corsa's
Thanks to Nissan Doctor for the advice!
