i fitted a solid fuel stove recently , just for space heating...

ive heard of this brick effect slabs that can be bought and im wondering where i would get one?.. i presume they can be got in different sizes or cut to suit ?

also are they fire proof/heat resistant?
    what thickness are they ?
how much space should there be between the stove and the slab?

all help much appreciated !! ;)

    cheers , niall

Look up fernhill stone.ie. they doon't come in panels. the panels won't take the heat. your looking for brick slips. kinda like tiles but brick shaped. bang on some expanded metal and apply them like tiles. there are a good job.
