I've been to Belfast several times now at this stage and i didnt think much of it, quite a serious place to be honest no real craic! I'd say Galway is king, Cork ain't too bad either but IMO Belfast is pretty pants!

Being a girl and not having ever been on a stag I'm gonna throw in my two cents anyway :D

    Derry is FANTASTIC.
I had a night out there earlier this year and had the best craic ever....

Wouldn't chance Belfast meself tbh. I can have a good enough accent to be ok alone, with some rowdy drunk people, not so much. :pac:

been out in belfast a few times in the past year, found it to be a great spot.
same as anywhere else, don't act the dick and you'll be fine. cathedral quarter is probably the best place to head for at night.

Bars shut at 1am, and on strippers. Still too much of a Presbyterian influence to be a stag city.

Lived there 7 years though. Loved the craic

I'm just back from a weekend in Belfast with my mates and thought it was great. We're similar in age to the OP.

I agree about heading Cathedral Quarter. We were in McHughs beside the big Albert clock. The initial plan was to head on out of there as the evening went on, but then when the music started downstairs, we ended up staying the whole night. It was kind of like a basement club, but as I said, the music was cool. Good banter with the doormen too!!

We got cheap rooms in the Ibis hotel which is a bit of a treck away from the very centre, but nice enough because it's cheap and being near the University means there's loads of busy pubs and restaurants. There's another great pub there too called the Parlour. It looks old fashioned but it feels studenty and has good food too.

The Christmas Market is on now too in the city centre and we got big German Steins of beer in the Beer tent.

...So in short.....I'd say go! Also we had no problems because of our accents and to be honest, I've often felt LESS SAFE in Dublin.
