HTC Desire RUU - which one do i need

    As the title says im looking to root my Desire and ive had a good read of the tutorial and it seems fairly easy but i hit a wall (the 2nd stage :rolleyes: ) i need to find and download my RUU.

    this is the list from the tutorial from XDA is there one here i can use? ie the 02 UK one or one of the first 3?? im confused

    not sure if it matters im on o2 if you need any more info build/radio etc let me know im kinda new to this :D

    The ruu file is to restore to stock, so you can in theory download any, however of most interest to you is either the wwe (world wide English) or the one for your operator.
    All the other numbers in the file names are for the radio and hboot versions etc, be sure to read up if that hboot is rootable before you install it.
    In the rooting tutorials they recommend having the ruu in case something goes wrong or if you ever need to send the phone back.
    Personally I rooted via unrevoked, which was very easy on the Mac but there are good tutorials for all methods.
