    hello again folks

im nearly finished some work on me auntys house that she recently purchased

iv rewired the house and also the original alarm circuits that were installed as it was all surface run

have all cables back to alarm panel which is mounted under the stairs,

i have the panel, keypad, indoor/ outdoor bell, panic button

i need to get new contactors and shock sensors fitted on the windows and front/ back doors + 2 x velux

    no pirs required

also the printed circuit board is relativley new (2010) but is engineer locked so i need to get it reprogramed, the factory reset link will not work

can anybody recomend somebody from the area or even any of you guys,

need to get this done asap as the tvs and appliances will be moving in the next day or two

    regards

    stephen

Sounds like that hard work is done. Your main thing is getting the panel defaulted. What panel is it?

its a hkc secure wave, 8/13 i think

im sure i could do it meself but it would probably take me 3 times as long as somebody who does it every day, stripping the cables neatly for the contactors, and they may get it cheaper than me,

i still have other work to be done in the house and it would be good to get this off my hands

was asking down thewholesalers and he was giving me prices of around €3 euro for mag contactors and around €13 for the shock sensors

iv got 3 windows up stairs
    2 down stairs
    2 velux
    front door
    back door

i reckon they will all need a shock sensor/contactor arangement

i was gonna connect the panel up but should i leave it for the eng to do?

    everything is labeled clearly

    circuit for upstairs windows
    circuit for downstairs front window
circuit for downstairs back window + 2 velux
    circuit for backdoor
    circuit for front door
circuit for panic button by front door
    cable to keypad
    cable to internal siren
    cable to external siren

    that seem ok to you????

Its 6/12 . Not the easiest to reset if its engineer locked.
The sticky here has some installers listed.
It also has a link to the PSA resister of licenced installers.

can you recomend anyone close to me?????

can you give me a rough idea of the cost??????

So you just need a combination of 10 inertias/contacts?
    I would say €200- €300
As always shop around & get 2-3 quotes.

The 8/12 is a metal housing and the Securewave is Polycarbonate.
If the factory link does not work then you will need an installer to factory default the system for you as it has being engineer locked.

cheers altor, yea its in a metal housing but the printed circuit board is only installed in 2010, thats the date thats printed on it,

i think it may have been serviced last year

It is an 8/12 then, not a big job to get re-flashed back to factory settings.

is it a return to factory job or can it be done on site with a laptop?
