Harry Morgan who played Col Sherman T Potter in MASH died today aged 96. Like many I grew up watching MASH and he was a big part of the cast. Although he was not part of the original cast he slipped into his role very easily and brought a lot to an already great series. He had a long and distinguished career both in film and TV. Thanks for the memories.

The earliest thing I saw him in was the Ox-Bow Incident (1943) with Henry Fonda, he was 28 even then!

He also directed for a while including MASH and Alfred Hitchcock Presents.

Great show and a great character, loved MASH when I was growing up, represented the decent, multicultural, anti-war side of America. Great innings for him at least.
