model buildings???

Hi i want to make a model of my farm and building to scale does anybody know how the hell i do it or where i buy the parts.

never did one before but i have plenty of time on my hands and am good with my hands.

if anybody knows links, emails, websites or even advise i would appreciate it

Welcome to the world of scratch building.

There is a whole world of information out there on the subject.

Most of the stuff (plasticard sheets, windows, doors, etc,) I've either bought in Marks Models (Evergreen eg http://www.hobbylinc.com/evergreen_model_scratch_building_plastic_supplies) or online from the UK or the States.

The more you google scratch building, the more you'll find out.

First pick a scale

If you go for one of the common ones, like say OO or 1:76 there's loads of kits (metal, plastic, card) that you could use if you do not wish to scratch build everything.

you can get "scatter" in many shops, scatter is the powder and granuals that can be used to represent grass, bushes, hedges, flowers, rocks and ballast, road surface etc etc pretty much everything

just design ur own sheds. as a referece 1 foot in real life is about 1 centimetre in 1/32. to be exact if u want 16 feet in 1/32 scale feet its 16x12 which is 192 inches. 192x25 is 4800mm divide by 32 to get the scale 150 and 150/10 is 15 cm to be exact.
