Just watching Four Live....I know, I know....but doing stuff so have TV on. They have a budget special...people ringing in with queries and experts answering them.

I am confused by one query! This lady emailed in asking the following:

"I work a couple of days a week and get €160. I also get lone parent's allowance
and just wondering will this be affected? I am also pregnant".

The expert said that none of her allowances would be affected by budget cuts.

Unless I misheard this information....but I am confused with a few of these statements!!!

You seem to be easily confused.

From that I gather if you're a single mother and make E160 a week the allowances you receive won't be affected.

You don't need to be married to get pregnant...

Indeed, no woman has ever gotten pregnant outside of a relationship.

    Good spot.

    One night stand?

Recently broken up with long-term partner who is father to both children?

    There are multiple possibilities.

    Maybe.......

And maybe it shouldn't be called the LONE parent allowance? After all that denotes that the parent is on her own.......?

Once the man removes his penis he is no longer under her spell and may return home to his own wife leaving her to raise the future Nobel Peace Prize winner on her own.

    Question answered.

Any other queries can be asked in one of the budget threads.
