iPhone 4 | Incredibly slow Internet

    Phone: iPhone 4 (16GB)
    iOS: 5.0.1 (9A405)
    Carrier: Vodafone IE

Hi all, got an issue that you guys may be able to help with.

For the past day or two my phone's Internet connection has been running awfully slow. Twitter and Mail take ages to update, and Safari seems to struggle with opening the simplest of pages.

I don't have wifi at home so maybe there's an issue with the network (Vodafone) that I'm unaware of, I dunno.

If anybody could shed some light on the situation and possible solutions I'd greatly appreciate it, thanks.

My Internet speed varies a lot (eMobile) even with 4 or 5 bars of signal, with decent QOS. It works fine on wifi. Is there any way you can try over wifi?

    Congested mast maybe?

What speed do you get? Try once every hour for a day.

My 3G on Vodafone (in Dublin) has been bollocks for the last month or two.

Dunno what the story is at all. iOS5?

    Yea same here.
Pages won't load, they get stuck about halfway and just freeze.
I thought it was my phone that was the problem.

I think it's a VF thing rather than an iOS 5 thing. I have a VF dongle for "broadband" at home and it has gone very slow in the last few weeks. It was never brilliant (I've had it for just over a year) but lately it's desperate slow.
