Most Pro's get about 4-10 Pairs a season from their sponsors so I am sure he is not to worried about the damage.

    Amazing video!

It does make me scrunch my face up and grimace every time he runs across the road, especially down that concrete gulley beside the house...

I didn't know you could get sparks like that on concrete, gotta get me some rentals and go night time street skiing

The clip by the way is from All I Can the movie an incredible bit of ski cinametography.

The sparks are from the Edges of the ski on the concerete, not to much damage once you file them again.

but hitting a rock with the bases would be lights out

I've skied on lots of roads, but always snow covered ones! Fattes I'm surprised skis will slide on tarmac, don't fancy trying it now I've new skis.
