If I didn't like something I would not listen, watch or read it.
He has a lot of listeners so people like it. I listen if i'm in the car and it's interesting, I cannot abide Joe himself.
Saying that he brings some things to peoples attention. It's not all bad.

Firstly, it is not always possible to avoid the media we dislike. For example, I worked in an office for 5 years, which meant I was subjected to 8 hours of Spin103 or FM104 every day for the duration of time I was employed there. It wrecked my head; I cannot understand how people are happy to listen to the same 10 (bad) songs over and over in some audial version of the Teletubbies for so-called grown-ups (Again! Again!). There's also a good chance that someone whom you live with is into awful ****e, which will put you in the firing line far more often than you'd like.

Secondly, I didn't notice anyone in the thread mention that they're avid listeners of the show. It's possible to be aware of a program and have a decent idea of its content without devoting hours of each day listening to it just so that you can gripe about it on the internet.

Saying "Well I think there's some merit in the show and here's why..." would have been perfectly reasonable.

"If you don't like it don't listen to it" ranks down there with "Yeah, well I'd like to see you write a better song" as the ****tiest argumentative gambit known to man.
