I bought the car with only one key.
I got a price for another key from autokey.ie for €170 for the one that does central looking and €70 for just a key that will open the car manually.

Is that the normal price ? I fear the day if/when I lose my key and I didn't bother getting a spare.

    See http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=68485560&postcount=22

Ford dealer, €140 for three new keys + ECU pairing or €8.50 for a non-RFID key that only opens the doors.

Auto locksmiths might be a good deal for other brands, but it seems like Ford dealers aren't intending to screw us too much.

Try a general key cutting place, there's a place on Patrick Street in Dun Laoghaire, Brown Bros, they were much cheaper than ford when I got my transit key there.

Yea he said about €60 for the key with remote if he can do it.

It'll be some saving if he can

Yeah, he's done a key or two for me before but couldn't do one for my Astra, good luck anyway, let us know how you get on :)
