LARGE FLATSCREEN TV !

Looking for a large Flatscreen TV, DVD built in would be an advantage... Walker do one but not sure where they are sold... Also I heard that extravision also have one... Any info guys ? Location, anywhere, but Carlow area would be an advantage but happy to drive to Dublin..

Agreed, but I a not that technical.. maybe 40in ??

No worries.

Will take a look-see and come back to you & sure others may chip in with deals. It's worth noting most all of the retailers will deliver to your door at v reasonable rates.

Also, you're more likely to find a decent brand at a good price if you pick up a DVD player separately, as going for sets with integrated DVD player will limit your choice considerably. Standard DVD players can be picked up for very little expense.

I'd also suggest you post your query on the Richersounds and Currys forums and see if they've deals and/or something in stock which matches your requirements.

Richersounds have a 37" LG 37LK45OU (little under your stated size ).

I have the 32" version and can highly recommend it. LG's have decent build quality, it's Saorview approved, Full HD, decent audio and set up is intuitive. With shipping from their Belfast store, it'll come very close to €400.

Powercity are also doing this same model for €412.00 UNTIL TOMORROW

I am looking at the hanspree 42in only because of its size...
I was also looking at the 40in Walker from the website supplied for the LG ?

Any thoughts, on my decision, ~I am new to all this..
Bit in this case SIZE DOES MATTER lloll

ALSO A BIT SHOCKED THAT THESE DONT COME WITH A WALL BRACKET and the price of the brackets !!
Flat mount is 59, and then its start to get VERY EXPENSIVE

To my mind, spending an additional sum over and above the cost of the Hannspree/Walker will deliver a significant increase in quality but we all have to work within budget, except for FF.

If you're going with the Hannspree, get an assurance that the set will deliver RTE digital interactive teletext via MHEG5. Some H/pree models have demonstrated MHEG5 compatibility issues in Ireland and this element is important to future proof your TV for possible changes in the way broadcasters deliver content to us.
