I've been working in Canada this year (2011) on a working holiday program, and have just been laid off. Can anybody tell me what the quickest way for me to claim tax back for this year? It would be nice to have it back before I leave Canada and return to Ireland in January.

You cant claim your Canadian tax back until you file your tax return which only happens in January. In January you will need to get T4 forms from any employer you have had in order to complete the return.
