Currently in Edinburgh with Team Ireland. Two tough cycling stages behind us. All team racers cycling in relay with Joe Barr riding the full distance so far.

124 miles to Edinburgh today at an average of 20.5 miles an hour!

All the team are giving it welly. More so than i expected and all are keen to make a race of it.

All of us are taking this very seriously and are putting in huge efforts. However its a shame the organisation is so brutal. No publicity and no way of keeping an eye on rule infractions.

Today this resulted in the Welsh team taking huge short cuts and beating our time by an hour which i can assure you is impossible.

So the english team (consisting of Chris Boardman) will be on the road tomorrow and the scottish team (consisting of Graeme Obree) will be on the road on thursday.

If you're interested in having a gander or maybe even keeping an eye out for route shortcuts you might go along to the route for a look.

Heres a link to the route http://ridewithgps.com/trips/506636

They will be starting at 7am from trinity college.

As i said we're all putting in a massive effort here and everybody involved in the team is being super professional. Shame some of these other teams involved are making a sham of the event.
