    Hey!

basically im on the hunt for a printer! something that is cheap enough but decent i dont want to waiting around all day for it to print one page!

i found a few but they all say ppm after a number when it comes to print speed!

if its a high number does that mean its good?

sorry if this sound like a stupid question :o

PPM is pages per minute - how many pages will it print in a minute. Higher numbers means faster printers.

    Hi OP,
Just to point out swell that some cheaper printers can have very expensive replacement ink cartridges so check that out before you buy!

Ink cartridges are expensive to replace. My advice is find a printer will suit your needs. Then do a bit of research online for replacing the ink cartridges for that make and see if you can find somewhere online you can get them cheap.

Something like http://reviews.cnet.com/printers/ would be a place to start. They have a http://reviews.cnet.com/best-printers/ link there.

All inkjets will waste ink even if you print very little, they have to to avoid print heads clogging/drying out. I would reccomend looking at Epsons/Canons, see if you can pick up ink from the usual places www.justmedia.ie, www.inkjet.ie etc cheaply. For example my epson takes 6 individual inks, I can replace all 6 for €6 and they last a fair while.
You may get HP, Lexmark, Kodak etc printers cheap, the inks aint ;)
