Amazon Sale on Watches

I'm looking to buy a nice watch for my Boyfriends Birthday in Late January. He appreciates nice watches& really wants an Omega Seamaster, but I'm afraid it is just out of my budget. (which is around €500)

Amazon have a sale on Seiko watches and I'm wondering are the watches fakes.. the prices seem very cheap. Would any of you buy a watch from Amazon? Any advice would be great as I haven't a clue.

    Thanks.

Hi. I have bought from Amazon before with no problems. I don't think an organisation that large would get away with peddling fakes.
Before you pull the trigger on a Seiko, have a look at Tissot and Hamilton watches. Both are Swiss Made, and have several models in your price range.
Good luck with the search, and hope you're getting something equally nice in return...

Does he like the Seamaster specifically or does he like Dive watches generally? There is actually a decent choice of good looking, high quality dive watches for €500 e.g. I really like the Steinhart Ocean 44s (€460) and also Deep Blue watches of which there are a good range with Swiss automatic movements for under €500.

You might also like to check out Christopher Ward who make a good range in your price bracket. I don't know too much about these but they look nice in the pics on the web site.

I've bought watches on Amazon; would have no problems at all doing so again. Just remember that Amazon is also what they call a "marketplace" - i.e. other companies sell their goods through the site.

Anyway - I would start by picking a watch first, and then see where to buy it.
