i have a 2011 cube gtc pro with ultegra st 6703 shifters. i'm pretty sure they are compatible, but just want someone to clarify this for me, some say 49mm, 49mm drop(is there a difference) ta!!!!

They are compatible. The 3 on the end of the 6703 refers to the fact that you have a triple chainring. It has no bearing on the brakes.

    Shimano Ultegra tech docs.

Wait though, why are you buying new brakes for a 2011 bike?

nice one, actually have a compact chainring, it was changed before i bought it, upgraded to an ultegra chain set. some advice given to me was to change the brakes over, as the brakes on it arnt the best, and the ultegra brakes have more power!!!

If the brakes are stopping you then I wouldn't bother upgrading myself, not this early in the life of the bike. Just change your pads and cables regularly.

I use cheaper end shimano brakes (tiagra) and they stop me fine. Never had an issue as long as they are maintained.
