    Hi there,

My sisters and I are buying a TV for my parents this Christmas and need some advice. Their old Sony CRT is on the way.

    Budget is 500
Must be AT LEAST 37" (more is better though)
    Include stand.

Now the important bit - They only have an NTL/UPC Cable. They never had a UPC or Sky Box, so the TV must have very good SD picture quality as the input would only be the cable.

    tks :)

I've always found the Philips LCD's the best at displaying Analog TV, I've returned both a Sony and a Samsung because they were terrible but you should try it in a shop before you buy!

Ask the guys in the philips shop / richersounds http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=1105
