The main question is: what eventually happens to the money?

I don't actually know and the directors just assume she's putting it toward the fund, however, they haven't actually checked what these lot are doing with the money. The directors don't actually have any real business acumen and don't actually function as directors other than in name only. They are 3 honest people who are hands on with the charity and run off their feet helping animals. I began volunteering with them several months ago and began noticing that 3 individuals, all related to each other seemed to be running their own version of the charity and deliberately giving the impression that they are the only people to contact about the charity. No mention of the directors or the official website for the charity or any of the fund raising events of the charity. They seem to be diverting people away from the official website to a social networking site.I've tried warning the founder but I think she's to heavily dependent on these people to take in animals for her to actually challenge them about it. I'd hate to see her lose her funding because of dodgy dealing on the part of others. I and my volunteers left because of suspicions we have. I'm so concerned that I asked for my name and photographs to be removed as I don't want to get caught up in any dodgy dealings.

What ever about possible dodgy dealings, which if you have proof should be reported. The issue of directors of a charity not functioning as directors would in my opinion be just as bad. If a person does not know their duty as a director they have no business being one. If you can't trust the directors enough to make a formal request for an investigation they should be removed straight away.

If the account is not sanctioned by the charity then it seems odd that it is allowed to happen. The directors need to get the finger out and do their jobs.

I suggest that you blow the whistle. Revenue and local media should be interested.

However, if it's a suspicion you need to be sure. Most people can accept Paypal payments into their account and credit card payments can be channeled via Paypal.

Who is the organisations auditor? You should be able to get this from their annual accounts.

    If its a company: www.cro.ie/search
