i recently bought a dual video card for my pc as i want 2 monitors to work of it.Both of the connections on the graphics card are HDMI.
Is it possible to get a hmi to vga connection as my monitors only have vga connections?

Ye you should get one handy enough, try amazon or eBay, they'll definitely have them

Beware of adapters masquerading as converters. VGA is an analog (video only) signal whereas HDMI is digital (video and audio) so you will need some kind of converter, not just an adapter with VGA on one side and HDMI on the other. Some vendors on eBay are selling these and they are completely useless.
