Havent got dimensions of rooms of new house yet so gonna guesstimate based on what we have seen the few times at house. How much would you say floor tiling (tiles and laying) for the following rooms may come to?Presuming we prob go for mid range tiles as some good deals out there.

    Kitchen 5 m x 4 metres
    Main bathroom 4 metres x 3 metres
    Ensuite 1 2 metres x 2 metres
    Ensuite 2 2 metres x 2 metres
Small bathroom beside utilty 2 metres x 1 metres
    Utility 3 metres x 2 metres

This will depend on the tile selected and the region where you live, tiles depending on the type can start at €4.99 and end at €104.99 however mid range tiles in Ceramic and Polished Porcelain will range form €13.99 to €29.99 dependant on the style and format, a tiler will set you back from €12 to €20 depending on his rep and work load and the tile selection may also contribute here as well as the substrate the tile is going on. Add a further €3 per yard for Adhesive and Grout and your looking at a ball park per yard.
The best thing is to call to your local store and talk to them the they will sort you with the name of a tiler and quote you based on your tile selection. I deal with Right Price Tiles and find them exceptional good for range and price.

I was talking to a tiler about doing work on our house next year and the cost. He asked had I bought the tiles yet. I said I was looking around. He said if I bought Right price tiles he would charge more to lay them as he claimed they are more uneven with inconsistent thickness' which would take him longer to lay. Anyone heard of this before.?

True with some tiles, but I can't speak about any specific company though. Also the way you want them laid is important - for example some tiles are slightly bevelled into each corner of the tile (even expensive ones) - which can result in problems occuring when laying them in a 'brickwork' pattern - in that they will never be perfectly level.
As posters advice above drop into a couple of stores and get prices for supply of all materials - don't forget to price trims etc (as chrome trims especially) can vary hugely between supplies. You could lose all the price savings by getting the sundries bits'n'pieces in the wrong place.

Yep iv came across a few issues like this, more of a problem with wall rather than floors tiles in my experience

All tile suppliers will have this issue especially with ceramic, there are two markings on all tiles one is shade the other is calibre. Calibre is the size of the tile which can vary up to 2mm due to shrinkage in the kilns during manufacturing another issue is curvature which is the deflection of the tile causing the tile to bow. These are natural enough in all fired products however it is the tolerance which is an EU standard which needs to be met. When buying tiles just make sure your calibre and tone matches throughout. Your tiler is being ridiculous if he is charging more for fitting tiles from a store. A lot of tilers are loyal to specific stores and he may be angling for you to purchase from his.

Op and Troy McLure, take note of this. Would agree with the costs outlined above also, average of maybe €16 or €17/m2 but each house is different.

the above is also true. You hear stories of tilers complaining about right price tiles products, but its crap. I did my house with them, and they are a good job, and were substantially cheaper than a lot of places I got quotes from. And the tiler had no issues at all, and said the same, that he hears of tilers looking for more, but that in a lot (not all, because I wouldnt want to generalise) are just trying to get as much as they can out of it. Some can see the savings you have made in using a cheaper tile, so they may think you have a few extra euro in the kitty that you could give them. and others then are lined with their own suppliers and can make a few euro by getting a sale with a supplier.
