    Hi all,

Looking for some advice on this. I own a Sony DAV-SB100 home cinema dvd player and lately the last third of any discs we put in are pausing every minute or so. I ran a lens cleaner thru it which had no effect so i'm assuming its gonna die completly soon!

I love the sound out of the unit so would it be possible to hook up another dvd player to it and just use it as an amp for the speakers?

    or..

As above but with a Blu-ray player?

    or..

Buy a dvd or blu-ray player with a built in amp and dump the unit but keep the speakers? Are these available?

    or..

Just get the dvd drive repaired....how expensive would that be?

    Thanks,

    xtradel.
