Can I go into one of the Irish Banks, or British Bank and open a swiss frank account for example.

If the euro did go, would the funds in this account still be safe.

I am thinking of going Aus dollar.

Probably be heading there in a few years anyway.

    Can someone help me?

Bank of Ireland branches in the ROI will open an account for you under their belfast branch in what ever currency you want. Therefore you will be under the cover of the UK financial regulator
