1st year here. So far, we've only had 2 (completed) projects. For Programming, we had to design and create a simple animation in a console window (in groups of 3) and for Web Development, we had to replicate the syllabus for a specific course (each student was assigned a different module), from documents containing all the syllabuses (syllabi?) for the IT department, using HTML and CSS. At the moment, we are working on a presentation as part of our Interpersonal Skills module (as groups of 2 or 3) on a topic of our own choosing.

Beyond that, I'm only vaguely aware of our next programming project which, from what our lecturer has said, will be something more serious and practical than an animation, and we haven't been given any information on assignments for Databases, Computer & Operating Systems or Mathematics.

    Hey Robby

I was thinking of doing the Programming module on this course, how many hours a week is it? And when are the lectures on?

    Thanks a lot

This year, it's been 6 hours of programming per week, divided up like so
    • 3 lab lectures (1hr)
    • 1 class lecture (1hr)
    • 1 lab practical (2hr)

In terms of lecture times, ours are currently on at
    • Monday 5pm (lab lecture)
    • Wednesday 9am (lab lecture)
    • Wednesday 11am (class lecture)
    • Thursday 3pm (lab lecture)
    • Friday 12pm (lab practical)
although, they may not necessarily be the same next year.
