I've been reading a lot about it lately, all positive. Couple of good YouTube vids on it. Has a few nice features, most people seem to say its expensive but worth the money

I bought the Motocaddy s1 lite push trolley last June, very happy with it but the clicgear has more extras

Has anyone used one on a hilly course? I know that you position the trolley at right angles to the slope, when you are taking your shot, but is it a case of having to be always looking over your shoulder to make sure it's not rolling away!

I think all clicgears have a brake. At least the ones I have seen up close do. These seem to be the Rolls Royce of pull/push carts.

I bought one of these recently. I haven't had a chance to take it out yet though.

I was close to getting a Sun Mountain trolley but someone on this forum recommended ClicGear. So I searched for reviews all over the place and everyone was saying that it was a good product.

I bought it at GolfGear Direct www.golfgeardirect.co.uk a couple of weeks ago for £170 + free ClicGear attachable mittens + a free adjustable ClicGear brolley holder. I also purchased ClicGear wheel covers for keeping the boot clean! (This offer is gone - £179 now. Would they be cheaper in the sales?)

There's a good ClicGear review video on www.direct-golf.co.uk and positive reviews from customers.

I have one of these for the past year... they have a break at the back handle that works perfectly, really robust and easy to push on hills. I have played Murvagh with it and it was fine. great bit of gear

I've never seen them up close, just online. Are they a bit big and bulky?

    Thanks golfnut.

It was great talking to you earlier. Hopefully we can be of assistance to you in the coming days.

I was just after asking permission from a 'Mod' to post this up but you got there before they came back to me.

I'm here from O' Dwyers Golf and we're currently in the process of updating the online store. We're operating out of two stores, one in Clonmel Co Tipperary and one in Kilkenny City.

Someone posted about us last week so I said I'd join up to offer some help/advice to Boards.ie members if required. I won't post here again until I get the go ahead from a 'Mod' but send me a PM or give us a call (details on website) and I'll do my best to help you out.

    Regards,

    John

Got email this morning with 20% discount code.

Use the '20TODAY' discount code to get 20% off the Clicgear 3.0 here . Brings price down to €180, flat rate post is cheap enough.

I have bought golf balls off them in the past and they were fine. They are based in Limerick so I used to collect rather than get delivered so I can't comment on the postage time. Never had any issues though.

Do you mean folded down or operational?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,337 ✭✭✭big_drive

Operational. Amazing it can fold down soo small. Saw it in American golf in cork, just was surprised how big it actually is

Yeah I'm seriously tempted to get one. I have my old one for about 6 years and its wrecked. Wheels fall off every now and again just like my golf.

I have a 'bagboy' which is pretty much the same. Great for folding small for the car and much better with a carrybag than my powakaddy. Good for flat courses but You will find it hard going on a hilly course compared to your electric. I won it. Don't think I'd pay €180 for it.

If you play somewhere very hilly go electric again.

Make sure you keep bag contents to a minimum!

Well wear. I don't know if It's light or not but check out the sunmountain h2no cart bag. that would be my preference.

Perhaps it isn't quite the standard of trolley that you are looking for but I got a Masters 3 Wheel Push Trolley at the start of the year and am very happy with it.
You can take the third wheel off and have it as a two wheeler if you want.

They sell for about sixty euro at the moment, which is roughly what I paid for it.
Not sure if this any help but just though I would put it out there.
