    Hi

Looking to go away for Xmas and Dubai seems like a good spot. Any recommendations on where to stay and how to get there.
What type of money would you be talking for 5 to 7 days including flights

Looking for a relaxing week on the beach :-)

Fly with Etihad to Abu Dhabi and take the courtesy bus to Dubai. Where to stay is obviously down to budget. If money no object, I would stay at Al Qasr hotel http://al-qasr-hotel-madinat-jumeirah.finddubaihotels.com/ on Jumeirah beach. But there are plenty of cheaper hotels than this one. Hotels in Deira (on the creek) are cheaper. You could check out the Capitol Hotel there.

Depends very much on your budget, stay away from 'Bur Dubai' simply the old part or city centre however terrible with traffic, any near Jumerah Beach or Marina should be fine!

Make sure to check out Bonnington Towers in JLT...Irish owners, I have heard good things!
