Vrt Question

Hi lads.

Looking at buying a Mondeo Titanium x 2008 2.0 TDCI Model 140

Now looking on the vrt they dont have a 140 bhp titanium x listed.

Just a 138bhp titanium x

140 titanium

On the log book it does say 140 bhp Titanium X

The emmisions on the hpi check say 156g/km

I presume Vrt office will base it on the emmisions and charge me like 3600 quid ?

Could be 140ps which is 138-ish bhp.

Its the same car I'd say. One may be HP and the other PS, there is a slight different between the two.

Just checked there and vrt listed 138 and 140 models initially, can't getthem to up now though...

140 6 speed is 154g 20%
138 is 139g 16%

But it goes on the emissions listed on the v5

ye u gotta refresh it.
I have the HPI Check in front of me now and it states 156g/km..

i was looking at that alright but its listed as 140 on the log 156 c02 aswell and not the 138 as listed on there site thats whats throwing me. they all say 140 on the v5

why cant i find a titanium x 140 on the revenue site.. its all very odd.

if its based on emissions im ****ed..

ive no clue ive checked from 2007 - 2011 and there all the 140 - 143 bhp.

like it states on the revenue that there is an 08 138hp

in general though u think if its 156 g/km ill be paying the vrt of 24%

It'll allow you to manually enter the co2 emissions to recalculate

If it's 156 then it is indeed 24

I meant to ask can I ring the VRT office in the morning to get a quote off them rather then the online version?

The 2.0 engine changed in Mondeo's in 2009 or maybe 2010- they did a slight change to alloys on the Zetec around this time too. Although the revenue system might have a Band B 2008 listed, I don't think this is correct. You might find its not much more expensive to buy a 2010 model as the VRT will be two bands lower. The 1.8 falls into either band B (Econetic with horrid long gearing) or band C and isn't a bad engine and not terribly far behind the 2.0 performance wise so is worth a look

I have also looked at the 10 and 11 and there all listed on the ford etis at 143ps or 140 bhp. Cant find anything about the 138
