Question re paying for Ryanair flights with laser & point of origin

    Hi,

Just a question there- I rarely if ever use Ryanair, but last time I did I noticed I was able to pay with laser (afaik, this must be something pretty recent). Now, I intend to book some flights but can't book them all in the same go this week, so would be looking to book ex-cork => Stansted return initially, and then the onward flights from Stansted next week- is it likely that I won't be able to use laser from the Stanstedd onward segment? I only ask because I ran into a problem like this with Aer Lingus a while back, booked outward with laser from Cork to LHR and when I came back the following week, couldn't use laser to book the return segment as they said it was a sterling transaction.

If anyone more accustomed to flying Ryanair could shed some light on this, I'd be grateful, their site isn't being very helpful vis a vis info.

Ryanair have accepted Laser for quite some time now and yes, its not possible to make transactions in sterling using the card, unfortunately.

Therefore booking flights originating in the UK is not an option.

If you don't have a credit card, one way around this problem is to purchase a pre pay credit card like this and top up the amount your flights will cost in advance.

I think Ryanair charge less for pre pay cards but I stand corrected on that.

Use of prepaid cards discussed at length here: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056388686

But Lapin is correct that you can't use laser to book flights originating in UK.
