Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

their units will still be workin i would suspect

just based out of the distrcit HQ,...........

so they will still patrol the districts, with their units............... just reporting from a different station

    Exactly what was said:
Among the other measures included in today's Budget are a €79m cut in spending on the Garda Siochana, through payroll and pension savings, concentration of resources in high priority areas and greater use of civilian staff and the Garda Reserve.
Justice Minister Alan Shatter said this evening that 31 Garda stations are to close next year. Eight stations that are already non-operational will not re-open.

Well the stations being closed in Mayo (Glenisland, Tourmakeady, Mulranny and Bellacorrik) have no GRs in them as they are not 24 hour stations. Im sure this is the case for most of the stations being closed?

Up here in Donegal ,Garda Reserve are all based in the bigger 24 hour stations, the smaller stations would not have any Reserve members.
so this will have no impact.
