I have 12mth old twin boys but can't make out if their payment has been cut in the budget. I get 1.5 payment per child as it stands.
I know the grant is gone that is given at birth 5 & 12.

    From the Budget Factsheet:

While the additional monthly payment for twins and triplets will be maintained, the grant of
€635 paid at birth, at 4 years of age and at 12 years of age for these multiple births will cease
    from January 2012.

So your extra monthly payment will remain. But if you have more than 2 children you will see a decrease.

My daughter turns 16 this 29dec 2011…..she has just missed the Disability allowance…… after all the years of private doctors…. so much debt to pay for them.. now its gone!! just as she turns 16!! Great budget!! Im a single mother always in full time employment collecting no social welfare… financially contributing to the Irish economy!!!! No incentive to do the right thing in this country… when you pay tax and contribute you’re penalised. And the most vulnerable suffer….kids that need constant support with no chance of main stream school or jobs after special school….. But heh…. keep looking after the parasites!!!! Good Job Mr Kenny!:(

If she turns 16 this month, she will still get DA. Apply straight away, if you havent already.
