Irrespective of the date you put on the document, Shannon will date the change from the date they receive the form.

Did something happen that you need to backdate it?
Can't see any benefit orneed in backdating other than for insurance or legl reasons

nah just wondering should i put the date that i actually got it on the form, thats all, seems fairly clear now that todays date is whats going on it.. first time that ive not got the form away straight away.. actually 11 months since i got the car

I think, Potentially you have been uninsured for those 11 months

not really sure on that, but seeing as ive had no accidents ive gotten away with it, thank god, i think i mentioned it to the broker at the time that it wasnt in my name and she wasnt overly panicked but she probably thought shed get the new vlc a bit quicker than 11 months ..

Ah,yeah, nothing can be done about what's happened, unless you decide to turn yourself in :p

Would dud greet checking with your insurance tho, as a lot of places do require you be the named owner o the car

change of ownership will be posted today, so should be sorted by the end of the week, probably an idea to check anyway, god knows what could happen in a week,

Shannon will accept the date of sale regardless of when they actually receive the form.

    Wrong.
They will indicate date of sale, in accordance with date and signature on the form.
