I put the wash on as usual and about 10mins into the wash it just stops, all the different cycles do the same. Any idea could it be fixed, it could take a full day to put on one wash.

    Thanks

Best to get someone to have a look. However, does the drum have water in it at the point where the cycles stop? If so, this could indicate that the drain pump is going (has it been whining a bit recently at times) or the filter is likely blocked. If the drum is full though, it's gonna be a messy task to check the filter coz there's a lot of water to come out!! Most filters are accessible at the bottom front of the machine although some new machines now don't have accessible filters (Hotpoint maybe).

It's also worth trying to reset the machine and starting a cycle again. Might be possible to reset it by holding down the start button for 5 seconds.

Thanks MrT, finally have water drained, so will pull it out tomorrow and have a look at the filter. Have to break two tiles of course to get it out, brillant tiles man of course.

Good stuff! Though you sure it was nec to break tiles?! Maybe so if machine was a tight fit under countertop, otherwise usually possible to tilt it back and yank forward. If you haven't being hearing a screeching noise lately from machine during cycles then it's prob just some money or a sock blocking the filter. Although there's a chance this may now have botched the draining pump.

Before trying machine again on a normal cycle, try the 'Drain' cycle if that's an option. If all is well you should hear the pump come on...

Oops... Meant to tell you to try the drain cycle first yesterday just in case the pump wasn't the issue in the first place!!! Oops...

Well big thank you MrThrifty, found €15, and a load of other crap in the filter. It's working a treat now.

Thanks again, saved me a call out guy.

Thanks from me too MrTrifty. I've a candy cn100 washing machine. Nt sure how old it is, came with house. Machine started to stop just before it got to spin the clothes but lately it got worse. I opened the filter as you suggested above. Filter was full of crap, no money though. Washing machine works fine now. Thanks again.
